Review Custom Permission User Role Mappings

With custom permission user role mapping, users can access the required features or processes they need for their role on the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app. When you install the Consumer Goods Cloud managed package, the user role mapping is done automatically for custom permissions if you run the PostInstallDemoSetupDataBatch Apex class. If you're a customer who's upgrading the managed package, the user role mapping is done when you manually upload the demo data through Static Resource files for the release.

To learn about custom permissions for a permission set and how to manage them, see Custom Permissions.

The user role is mapped to a custom permission and custom permissions are assigned to permission sets. Custom Permission User Role Mapping records are created via Static Resources.

To review the custom permission user role mappings:

1. From the App Launcher, find and select Custom Permission User Role Mapping.
   You can see all the out-of-the-box custom user role mappings.
2. Select a mapping to view it’s details and validate the User Role Name in the Details section.
   

   Note Changes to out-of-the-box custom user role mappings can lead to incorrect or inconsistent behavior for users on the Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud mobile app.

Example When you assign hybrid users with the required user permission sets, the app automatically maps the hybrid user role to the CGCloud_Hybrid_User custom permission. This enables the required features to appear for hybrid users on the CG Cloud mobile app.
