            Assign Permission Sets to Managed Package Users

            Give users access to specific features and functions without altering the existing profiles of the users.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled
            User Permissions Needed
            To assign permission sets:

            CGCloud Business Admin

            OR

            CGCloud Retail Business Admin

            Before you begin,

            • Verify that users have the Consumer Goods User license before assigning permission sets. Contact your Account Executive for assistance. See View and Manage Your Permission Set Licenses.
            • Before you assign permission sets, make sure that the user is mapped to the CGCloud_User_Profile user profile.
            • Review the considerations before assigning permission sets.
            1. To use the Consumer Goods Cloud Managed package starting from Summer ’24, use the Permission Sets after Summer 24 table. If you started using the Consumer Goods Managed package before Summer ’24, use the Permission Sets before Summer 24 table.
            2. Assign the appropriate permission sets based on the user role from the relevant permission set table.
            3. To confirm that users can access the features and functions they need, test the permissions in a sandbox environment. Then, deploy to production.

            Your users can access specific Consumer Goods Cloud features based on their assigned permission sets. They don't need to change their existing profiles.
