          Basic Pricing

          Basic Pricing

Basic Pricing in the Consumer Goods Cloud is a simple mechanism used to calculate order values based on the quantity of products ordered and static product conditions.

          Required Editions

When an order is being placed, the Basic Pricing feature fetches the base price of the product and multiplies it with the order quantity to derive the total price of the order.

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

          Configuration Requirements

To use Basic Pricing, the following configurations are required:

          • Order Template: You must enable the Use Built-In Pricing field in the Order Template. If this field is set to No, the system does not compute order pricing. As a result, the order totals will either remain zero (for new orders) or stay unchanged (for existing orders).

          • Product Conditions: Basic pricing relies on Product Conditions to specify product prices. You can specify multiple conditions for a product based on attributes such as:

            • Price Type (For example, Factory or Consumer)

            • Price List Type (For example, Wholesaler or Direct Customer)

          • Customer Extension Mapping: For the system to calculate the correct basic price, the Price Type and Price List Type defined in the Product Conditions must map to the Customer Role Price Type and Customer Role Price List Type attributes configured in the Customer Extension (Customer Role).
