          Supervisor Travel with Sales Rep

          Supervisor Travel with Sales Rep

As a supervisor, you must work closely with your team to improve the visit execution process. One such option is to travel with your reps during a visit. By accompanying your sales rep, you can understand a sales reps’ behavior during visits and then train them accordingly. Also, for customer inquiries that require a decision that’s beyond a sales rep’s responsibilities, supervisors must accompany a sales rep. Generally, as a supervisor you’ve to execute these visits, but sometimes a joint visit helps your reps learn how to deal with such situations.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.

The visits in which a supervisor accompanies a field rep are referred to as joint visits. The supervisor must create separate visits for self and for the sales rep. Supervisors and sales reps can view these visits as scheduled in their respective calendar but with different visit purposes and descriptions. For example, for a sales rep a visit can be a regular grocery visit, but for a supervisor the same visit can be a survey to accumulate points to train the sales rep.

Both the supervisor and sales rep can review planned visits including visit details during their visit preparation and align on these items:

          • Visit date and time
          • Purpose of the visit

At the end of a joint visit, visit-specific records are created separately for the supervisor and sales rep. The supervisor can then monitor all the visit details.
