          Time and Break Documentation

Time tracking is an important process to monitor the time utilization of a sales team to analyze productive and unproductive time.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.

Productive time refers to the time that's spent on customer visits, and unproductive time refers to the time that's spent on breaks, trainings, vacation, or private appointments.

To get details about productive and unproductive times, configure daily reports, and set up the supervisor approval workflow.

Reps and supervisors can use the Time Card module on mobile devices to access relevant daily reports.

Sales reps can create daily reports on mobile devices that includes:

          • Manual documentation of productive and unproductive time
          • Automatic time utilization details based on the visit data of a day

At the end of a day, depending on a daily report template configuration, a sales rep enters the time that's spent on activities such as customer tasks, and the record is saved as a daily report. Reps must release a daily report before a supervisor can either approve or reject the report.

          • Daily Reports
Daily reports track productive and unproductive time for each sales rep. Sales reps can create a daily report at the end of each day based on template configurations.
