The settings from the tour and route templates are copied to the relevant tours. During a tour execution, the system uses the settings in the tour and not the templates. This way only specific settings are used for selected tours. For example: The user must document the odometer reading at the start of the tour. However, if the odometer is defective, the ERP system can integrate the tour without the odometer reading.
- Set Up a Tour Template
Use Tour Templates to define the tour settings, vehicle check questions, security check questions, and allowed references (visits and documents) for various market tours. - Set Up a Route Template
Use route templates to set up route types for various markets, and assign tour templates and visit types. Create various reusable routes by using route templates and in turn, create van-sales tours from the routes for warehouse drivers. - Set Up an Object Reference for a Tour Template
Use object references to define the allowed visits, signatures, and document types for a tour. You can add, create, and delete an object reference for a tour template. - Set up Tour Checks
Create or update vehicle and safety inspections by using Tour Checks. Direct Store Delivery drivers use these checks for safety and compliance. The driver must perform all vehicle and safety checks at the tour’s start, end, or both. When you manage tour checks for a tour using a tour template, you can configure the usage type. For example, you can set the usage type as start of day or end of day. Drivers can't begin a visit or complete a tour until all the configured checks are done. - Manage Tour Checks for Tour Templates
Create vehicle and safety checks with tour checks. Associate the checks with a tour template, specify the order of the checks, and mark whether the checks are a start-of-day or end-of-day activity. After setup, the driver completes all vehicle and safety checks during the tour. - Add a Product Warehouse
Assign products to the driver's warehouse for direct store delivery or van sales execution. Drivers' devices only show products from their assigned warehouses. Warehouses are tour start and endpoints for drivers, vehicles, and products.
