Design a print layout for invoices or payment receipts in the customization layer. When
sales reps connect their mobile device to a Bluetooth thermal printer during field visits, they
can print physical documents from their Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud mobile app. The app supports
only text-based printing of PDF invoices on 3-inch Bluetooth thermal printers with ESC/POS
raster protocol support.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and
Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
You can activate this feature by turning on the Bluetooth Thermal
Printer setting in Sync Settings for either all or specific users. To show the
print menu button on the CG Cloud mobile app, in the report layout of your print layout
contract, ensure that the page height is set to auto. For example,
<ReportLayout pageSize="[216, auto]">. See Sample Print Layout for 3-inch Endless Paper Print on
Bluetooth Thermal Printer for details.
Starting Spring ‘26, 3-inch PDFs automatically split into multiple pages on the preview page
to improve readability. The preview uses A4 page height (842 points) to split content across
multiple pages. This change is specific to PDF preview functionality, the actual Bluetooth
thermal printing remains unchanged. Prior to Spring ‘26, all content appeared on a single PDF
preview page when the PDF height was set to 'auto' for 3-inch thermal printers.
Considerations and Guidelines for Bluetooth Thermal Printer and Print Layout Setup Learn about the resolution requirements and printer configuration support before setting up a Bluetooth Thermal Printer and what guidelines apply when defining the print layout for documents in Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud mobile app. For example, the print action skips certain special characters and text types. In print layout, each table has one table row as a table header with a specified width in percentage value.
