Key Considerations for Consumer Goods Data Kit

Key Considerations for Consumer Goods Data Kit

Consumer Goods Cloud supports these data kits to install data model objects into Data 360.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

These data kits are unmanaged packages and can’t be upgraded. Carefully review these considerations.

          • To upgrade a Consumer Goods data kit, you must first uninstall the existing version and then install the new version.
          • Before uninstalling the current data kit, document any customizations or modifications you've made. You can reapply those changes after installing the new version.
          • Data kits deployed from unmanaged packages require you to manually remove all deployed components and their dependencies before uninstalling the package.
          • The data kits share overlapping objects, so you can only install one data kit at a time. If you need to switch to a different data kit, you must first uninstall the existing one. If you require functionality from both Retail Execution and TPM, install Retail Execution Enhanced, as it includes the objects of both.
          • The installation fails if another data kit in your org already includes a component with the same name as a component in the new data kit. To resolve this issue, remove the data kit with the duplicate component before attempting the installation again.
          • If you're unable to delete a data kit due to dependencies, you need to manually create the required data mappings. For detailed guidance, see TPM Data Model Objects or RE Data Model Objects.
