After you install the managed packages, check that the Default Location record is created
as part of the installation. The Default location record is required for Visit creation as this
record is automatically assigned to the Advanced Visits Place field. The Default Location record
must be shared with all internal users in the system.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in Unlimited and
Enterprise Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
As part of the installation process, a LocationShare record is automatically created. Check
that the LocationShare record exists when the Default Sharing setting for the Location object
isn’t Public Read/Write for internal or external access.
To check if the LocationShare records exist, run this query from the developer
console, under the Query Editor section.
Select Id, ParentId,
UserOrGroupId, AccessLevel, RowCause, LastModifiedDate, LastModifiedBy.Name, IsDeleted from
LocationShare where Parent.Name = 'Default Location'
This query must return one
row. If the query doesn’t return any result, ensure that the Default Sharing setting for the
Location is Public Read/Write for internal and external access.
Create Sharing Rule If the default sharing setting for the Location isn’t Public Read/Write for internal or external access, create a LocationShare record. This record creates a Default Location that you can share with all the users in the system.
