Add Data Cloud Salesforce Connector Permissions
To ingest objects and fields into Data Cloud, add the View All Records and Read permissions to the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set in your Salesforce org.
Required Editions

- Log in to the Salesforce org that contains the objects and fields that you want to ingest into Data Cloud.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.

Select the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set.
The Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set is available only after you connect your org to Data Cloud. For deployed orgs that weren’t updated recently, the permission set is listed as Salesforce CDP Salesforce Connector Integration, Customer Data Platform Salesforce Connector Integration, or Customer 360 Audiences Salesforce Connector Integration.
- Enable the Manage and Run Retail Execution CPG, Action Plans, Industries Visit, and the other Retail Execution system permissions in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set.
- From Apps, select Object Settings.
- Select the object that you want to ingest into Data Cloud.
- To change the object permissions, click Edit.

Enable Read All, View All Records, and Edit permissions for these objects, ensuring
Read Access for each field.

Note For the objects that you ingest into Data Cloud, enable Read permissions for related objects in Salesforce CRM even if you don’t ingest those related objects into Data Cloud. Ingested objects can reference related objects and you need permissions to access this related object information. - Save your changes.
