Model the design contracts in Visual Studio (VS) Code Based Modeler (available from
Winter ’24) to configure and customize the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app on your Windows or
Mac computer. Design contracts are XML files that specify the code for the mobile app user
interface, processes, objects, data sources, labels, and other parts of the model.
Required Editions
Available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited
Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
Visual Studio (VS) Code Based Modeler comes with the Modeler command line interface (CLI)
plugin that is fully integrated into Salesforce CLI. The Modeler CLI plugin helps you perform
various Modeler operations such as validating contracts, building your custom app, running the
simulation of your custom CG Cloud mobile app directly on your machine, and creating
deployment packages. You can use Visual Studio Code as an editor to customize design contracts
and business logic.
