          Activity Planning Key Objects

With Activity Planning, prioritize and focus on activities in high value visits.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

The management team plans field activities for the sales and service teams to ensure that the right activities are in place for the right stores at the right time. Assigning activities to visits is automated to an extent, so your management team doesn’t need to manually assign activities every time it creates visits.

There are two types of activities: standard and event-driven.

          Standard Activities
Standard Activities are to-do lists with activities that are valid for multiple customers. These activities are valid for a longer time. You can add the activities to visits for different customers and can run the activities multiple times for a customer.

You can plan sets of standard activities that have different functions. For example, ensure constant quality by creating separate to-do lists for different sales and service teams. Typical examples of standard activities are:

          • Greet the store manager

          • Capture order

          • Check out-of-stock products

          Event-Driven Activities
Event-Driven Activities are to-do lists associated with an ongoing promotion (event) for a certain time frame. You can run these activities only once during the defined time frame.

Customer Set cgcloud__Account_Set__c Set of customers who perform similar tasks such as promotion, pricing, or activities. A customer set can be created manually, integrated through an external system, or added via segmentation rules.
          Data Type cgcloud__Data_Type__c

          • Decimal

          Job Definition Template cgcloud__Job_Definition_Template__c

The information that you gather for a store or products, and configure as job definition templates or jobs. Jobs can be a question— to gather store-related information, such as:

          • Does the store have advertising materials?
          • How many shelves are available at a store?

Or, jobs can be a survey question— to gather product-related information, such as:

          • Has the store properly placed the products on shelves?
          • Does the store offer the product at a promotional price?
Job Template cgcloud__Job_Template__c Template to define the behavior and visibility of activities in the offline mobile app. A job template determines whether an activity is a question or a survey. • Does the store include advertising materials?
          • How many shelves are available at a store?

You can create questions for point-of-sale (POS) or stores. Questions can apply to a store and all points-of-sale of the store, or to a POS type. For an ongoing promotion, questions can help to record temporary observations and ensure success for the promotion.

You can use the data from the answers to build a base for customer segmentation processes.

Template Question cgcloud__Job_DL_Template_Def_Template__c Template to create job definition templates.
Visit Template cgcloud__Visit_Template__c Template to create customer visit types. For example, sales visit, training, delivery visit, or phone call.
