          EffectiveAccountManagerSyncBatch

          EffectiveAccountManagerSyncBatch

Use this batch to create account team members from valid customer managers and provides the customer managers access to the account. This batch process adds the current customer managers to the Salesforce Account Team Member object.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

          Batch Details

The batch removes and recreates the account team members from customer managers for each batch run:

          • Firstly, for each account, the batch job identifies and selects valid customer managers for the account. A customer manager is active when the customer manager record in the Customer Manager object meets all these conditions:
            • User is active
            • Valid From date is before or same as the lead time date
            • Valid Thru date is after or same as the follow-up time date
            • Active is checked
          • Creates Account Team Member records for valid customer managers with Team Role as Account Manager and Account Access as Edit.

Calculation of lead time and follow-up time dates

Lead time and follow-up time date values are calculated as:

          • Lead time: The value (in days) in the System Setting (in custom setting) namely Account_Team_Lead_Time or 0 if the setting isn’t present.

The date for lead time is (TODAY - lead time days).

          • Follow-up time: The value (in days) in the System Setting (in custom setting) namely Account_Team_Follow_Up_Time or 0 if the setting isn’t present.

The date for follow-up time is (TODAY + follow-up time days).

          Important
Important We recommend that you retain the account access of the Consumer Goods Cloud offline mobile app users for a few days after the customer manager assignment period is over. This buffer set using the follow-up time gives users time to sync their devices after completing the activities. For example, users can synchronize any pending records for upload and avoid sync errors during the buffer.
          • Create a Custom Setting to Run the Enhanced Effective Account Manager Sync Batch
If you upgrade the Consumer Goods Cloud Managed package to Winter ’25 or later, to use the enhanced version of the Effective Account Manager Sync batch during the Apex batch process run, create the EffectiveAccountManagerSyncBatch custom setting. For all new customers of Consumer Goods Cloud, this setting is created and enabled by default.
