Configurations for Van Sales Delivery Execution

Order Templates When You Create Orders

Add the necessary order templates (for example, van sales for the tour, van sales for user or vehicle, return van sales order) as a Tour Object Reference with usage as Order. Only the added order templates are shown during van sales order creation. These order templates must have:

• Document Type as Invoice or Order Entry
• Status as Active
• Current date within the Valid From and Valid Thru dates

Display of Order Items for Van Sales Order

Assign the product or product groups to the start and end warehouse to show order items in van sales orders.

Display of Inventory Products for Van Sales Orders

The application shows all products for the orders initially.

• To show only the inventory products for orders, select Enabled Consider Inventory and Inventory Filter in Order Template.
  

  Note You can set the Inventory Filter field only when Consider Inventory is selected.
• To show both the listing or assortment and inventory products, select Consider Inventory and deselect Inventory Filter in Order Template.
• To show only the inventory products, deselect Consider Listing, Consider Inventory, and enable Consider Inventory in Order Template.

Inventory Filter to Search When You Add Products

On Order Template, set the Consider Inventory field as Yes to show the Inventory Filter on the Search page when adding products.

Invoice ID Generation for Van Sales Order

• In Order Template, set:
  • Document Type field set as Order Entry
  • Document Transaction Type set as Van Sales Cash Invoice or Van Sales No Payment Invoice

    You can adjust the print layout and introduce additional print layouts based on the document type. The customer address in the invoice is used from the bill-to role or relation field.

• On the Order Template object, set the Invoice ID Generation field to decide the time of invoice ID generation.

  You can generate an invoice ID at the time of creation or during the release of an order. The default value set is None, which means no invoice ID is generated. The invoice ID generated is stored in the Invoice ID field on the CG Cloud desktop app for the order.

• Set the structure of the invoice number, configure:
  •  The Invoice Number Definition field by defining the three parts of the System Number Generator such as Init Counter (initial characters), Logical Unit (Device ID), and Counter (number generator).

    If the Invoice Number Definition isn’t present, the system uses the Mobile Number Definition for invoice number generation.

Inventory Transaction Creation for Van Sales Orders

After the tour driver releases the order, for each product, withdrawal inventory transactions are created corresponding to the product inventory transactions that are created during the product checkout process. For the product checkout transaction creation, you must have the appropriate configurations done, see the Inventory Transaction Creation section in Configurations for Tours on the Consumer Goods Cloud Offline Mobile App.

For returns, the inventory transactions are positive addition entries and not withdrawal entries.

• The Order Template of the van sales order must have the same inventory reference as the product checkout document for the withdrawal transaction creation.
• In the Order Item Template, for the Order Item Inventory Transaction, set:
  • Inventory Control Template having a similar anchor combination (product with user, tour, or vehicle) as the selected Inventory Control Template for the product checkout document’s Order Item Inventory Transaction
  • Inventory Transaction Template for withdrawal inventory having inventory reference similar to the inventory reference of Order Template
  • Active as Yes
  • Used for Display as Yes
