Configurations to Show Tours on the Consumer Goods Cloud Offline Mobile App
Make a few configurations on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app as part of the initial setup for tours on the Consumer Goods offline mobile app.
Required Editions
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled |
Sync
The Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app syncs and downloads only the accounts and related objects that are related to a user's visits during the tour.
Make these configurations to ensure that tours are synced on the Consumer Goods Cloud offline mobile app.
- To add the DSD configuration as part of the Sync Configuration:
- Follow the steps in Upload Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Static Resource Data if you’re installing the Consumer Goods Cloud managed package from Summer ’24.
- Follow the steps in Upload Direct Store Delivery Static Resource Files if you’re upgrading the Consumer Goods Cloud managed package from Summer ’24.
- Assign the DSD sync configuration to a new or existing user profile with a driver persona.
- Assign the user profile to the tour driver with the CGCloud Tour Driver Or (CGCloud Retail Tour Driver and CGCloud Retail User) user permission set. You can assign the DSD sync configuration to a role or directly to a user.
- Install the latest version of Design Contracts and the latest mobile theme before data sync on the mobile app. See Add Default Mobile Theme for more details.
- Share tours and their related data, such as visits and orders, with default drivers using Salesforce's sharing mechanism to prevent losing access to them. This is only applicable when you change the sharing settings of tours to private.
- If you're using a managed package earlier than Consumer Goods Cloud managed package Winter ’26, create a Can_Updt_Tour_Checks_for_Cmpl_Tours custom system setting. This prevents any sync errors and enables updates to tour checks after a tour is completed or canceled.
Note When the driver tries to access a document of a tour whose data isn’t synced
because the duration of creation is greater than + or - 7 days from the current date, the
mobile app shows a confirmation message to sync the data. If the driver chooses Yes, the
data of the tour is synced using the DSD Named Fetch Trees.
Set Up User
To set up a tour driver, make these configurations:
- Set up a tour driver user profile. See Set up a Tour Driver Profile in Retail Execution.
- Provide the tour driver access to the visits and the tour-related accounts:
- Create account manager records for all accounts that are related to the visits of the driver’s tours.
- Implement sharing for all accounts related to the visits of driver’s tours
individually or use the
EffectiveAccountManagerSyncBatchbatch process to create account teams based on the account managers. - Implement sharing for all the visits that are related to the driver’s tours.
