            Add a Workflow Stage Transition

            A business object can have various stages. Workflow stages change when a business object changes stage. You can restrict a user from changing the stage of a business object.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
            User Permissions Needed
            To create workflow state transition:

            CGCloud Business Admin

            OR

            CGCloud Retail Business Admin

            For example, a new daily report is in the Initial stage. When a user enters the time and submits the daily report, the report is in the Released state. The supervisor then either accepts or rejects the report. If the supervisor rejects the daily report, then the user can modify and resend the report for approval.

            1. From App Launcher, find and select Workflows.
            2. Select a workflow.
            3. In the Workflow State Transitions related list, click New.
            4. Enter a name.
            5. Select the report's current status from the From Status dropdown.
            6. Select the status to move the report to from the To Status dropdown.
            7. If the transition happens from the initial stage, select From Initial Stage.
            8. Select an event.
            9. Save your changes.
