            Set Up Bluetooth Thermal Printer

            Configure a custom print layout suitable for 3-inch endless paper print on Bluetooth thermal printers in Visual Studio Code based Modeler and deploy the configuration to your Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud mobile app users.

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

            Make sure that you know how to define print layouts in XML.

            1. Design and deploy a custom print layout.
              1. In Visual Studio (VS) Code based Modeler, create a PrintLayout contract or modify an existing contract with desired content layouts and data to ensure proper formatting and printing for a 3-inch wide paper print output.
              2. Build the modified contracts by running this command in VS Code based Modeler: sf modeler workspace build
              3. Review the formatting and layout of the invoice on the Preview PDF screen on the simulator app. Make the necessary corrections and check the preview again.
              4. Generate the deployment package by running this command in VS Code based Modeler: sf modeler workspace package
              5. To deploy the customized contracts to your sales rep users, from the App Launcher, find and select Deployment Packages.
              6. On the Deployment Packages page, import the deployment package and assign the modified design contract package to your CG Cloud mobile app users.
            2. To activate the thermal printer action on the CG Cloud mobile app:
              1. In Setup, find and select Custom Metadata Types.
              2. On the All Custom Metadata Types page, click the Manage Records link next to Sync Feature Setting.
              3. Find the Thermal Printer setting and click its Edit link.
              4. In JSON Settings, set enabled to true.
              5. Save your changes.
            3. In the CG Cloud mobile app, generate a print output.
              1. Open the CG Cloud mobile app and log in as a sales rep user, in online mode.
              2. To deploy the custom print layout in the app, complete the sync process.
                After a successful sync, the printer icon appears on the PDF Preview screen of the CG Cloud mobile app.
              3. Connect your mobile device to a 3-inch endless paper Bluetooth thermal printer.
              4. Generate the PDF of an invoice or report in the mobile app and screen.
              5. On the PDF preview screen, tap the printer icon Icon of bluetooth thermal printer printer.
              6. On the printer list screen, tap the desired printer and tap Check mark icon to initiate the print job. to initiate the printing action.
