          Create Account Sharing Rules

          Create account sharing rules based on user groups to override an account’s org-wide sharing settings. With account sharing, users can access supporting accounts within the same or a different sales org.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
          User Permissions Needed
          To create account sharing rules:

          CGCloud Business Admin

          OR

          CGCloud Retail Business Admin

          Make sure that you have:

          • Installed the CGCloudAddOns add-on.
          • Assigned field permissions on user profiles.
          • Manually run the batch script for the AccountSharingCriterionBatch process.
          • Created any necessary public groups.

          Rules are defined on the Account object for each sales org.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter sharing, and select Sharing Settings.
          2. From the Manage Sharing Setting for: dropdown, select Accounts.
          3. Under sharing rules, click New.
          4. Enter the rule’s name.
          5. Select the record type as Based on Criteria.
          6. Select criteria as Sharing Criteria.
          7. Select the operator as equals.
          8. Select the sales org as value.
          9. Select any additional options necessary.
          10. Select the users to share the rules with.
          11. Save the changes.

          Schedule the AccountSharingCriterionBatch batch process through an Apex class.
