Create an Activity Template
You can create two types of activity templates: standard and event-driven.
Required Editions

- From the App Launcher, find and select Activity Templates, and then click New.

Provide these details:
Field Description Identification Name Name of an activity template. Description Description of an activity template. Active Indicates whether a template is active. You can create activities using active templates only. Owner Owner of a template. Sales Org Sales org of an activity template. Sort Unique numeric value that defines the sort order of an activity template. Description Description Language 1/2/3/4 Description of an activity template in the languages configured for the sales org. Settings Consider Customer Indicates whether standard jobs are customer-specific.
- If this option is selected, customers or customer sets assigned to an activity are considered for creating standard jobs. Standard jobs appear only in visits created for customers assigned to an activity.
- If this option isn’t selected, standard jobs appear in visits created for all customers.
Standard Jobs Indicates whether an activity template contains standard activity. If this option is selected, you can use this template to create standard jobs. These jobs appear in all visits created using visits template assigned to the activity during the validity period of the activity. Consider Listing When this option is selected, the Facing and Price Target values defined in product assortments sets the target value for a survey. The target value is set as the default value. This field controls the presetting of the corresponding activity field. Classification Indicates the type of icon shown on mobile devices. The options are:
- Non-Standard: Activities used for job lists that are valid for a specific user (manager) and customer. For example, a promotional offer at NTO Atlanta.
- Standard: Activities independent of customers. For example, a survey to check how well a product is received in the market.
- Standard with Customer: Customer-specific activities. Customer can be directly assigned to a customer-specific activity, or through customer sets. For example, the number of facings for a particular product at NTO Atlanta.
- None: Shows no activities. This is the default option.
Consider History Indicates whether historical products are considered for creating surveys. This activity template field controls the presetting of the corresponding activity field. Default Management Type Default management type that's considered by the automatic activity-activation process to generate job lists. The options are:
- Sales
- Service
- Consultant
The default value is Sales. This field controls the presetting of the corresponding activity field.
Consider Products Indicates whether products that are manually added to an activity are considered while creating surveys. This field controls the presetting of the corresponding activity field. User Policy User policy followed by the automatic activity-activation process for determining Customer Managers to whom job lists are assigned. The options are:
- All: Creates job lists for all users assigned to the customer.
- Only Main: Creates a job list for the main manager of a customer. If multiple main managers exist, the system considers the manager who's assigned the manager role for the longest period.
- First: Creates a job list for the main manager if one exists. If no main manager exists, a job list is created for any manager assigned to the customer. If more than one manager exists, the manager who's assigned the manager role for the longest period is considered.
This option controls the presetting of the corresponding activity field.
Display in Cockpit Determines whether activities are shown on the Your Day cockpit. Duration Default duration of an activity in weeks. - Save your changes.
