Use customer task templates to quickly create a task for a customer. A customer task
template defines the behavior of customer tasks. For example, to raise any asset service requests
such as repair, maintenance, retirement, and replacement, a field service team can use the same
customer task template.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and
Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
User Permissions Needed
To create customer task templates:
CGCloud Business Admin
OR
CGCloud Retail Business Admin
Use a template that’s assigned to a customer to create a task for that customer.
From the App Launcher, find and select Customer Task Templates, and
then click New.
Provide these details.

Task Information
Customer Task Template Name
Name of a customer task template.
Sales Org
Sales org of the customer task template. You can edit this field only while creating
a task template.
User Roles
Roles for which a task template is applicable. The options are:
Business Admin
KAM
Sales User
Supervisor
FA
FM
Inventory Manager
Sales Support
Workflow
Workflow that's applicable for the tasks that are created by using the template. The
sales org for a workflow and customer task template must be the same.
Sort
Sort order of records.
Management Type
Association that defines whether a customer task is related to service or sales. The
options are:
Sales
Service
Call Center
Merchandiser
Active
Indicates whether a template is active. You can use only active templates to create
customer tasks.
Description
Description Language 1/2/3/4
Description of a customer task template in the languages that are configured for the
sales org.
