Create a Promotion Expression
Promotion expressions and hurdles are used in combination to define parameters and evaluation criteria to be considered for a selectable promotion.
Required Editions

For example, create a hurdle to evaluate a promotion: Place a Cola poster.
The hurdle must contain:
- Comparator: =
- Threshold Value: True
- Reference to expression
The referenced expression must contain:
- Reference to product: Cola
- Reference to job definition template: Poster has been placed?
- Expression function to return the survey result for the referenced product
- From App Launcher, find and select Promotion Expressions, and then click New.

Provide these details:
Field Description Identification Promotion Expression Name Name of the promotion expression. Product Product that must be verified during a survey. Expression Result Type Type of expression result. The options are:
- Text
- Numeric
- Boolean
- Date
Job Definition Template Question to be answered or verified. Expression Function Function that helps to determine the value of an expression. Sales Org Sales org of a promotion expression. Field (API Name) Name of a field that the expression function must evaluate.
Note This field is required only if an expression function must evaluate a field of an object.Allows Classification Indicates if the hurdle associated with a selected promotion expression is available for classification. - Save your changes.
