            Create a Promotion Template

            Create promotions by using promotion templates. Create one promotion template and reuse the template with multiple promotions. Promotion templates determine the type of promotion a user creates.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
            User Permissions Needed
            To create promotion templates:

            CGCloud Business Admin

            OR

            CGCloud Retail Business Admin

            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Promotion Templates, and then click New.
            2. Provide these details.
              Field Description
              Identification
              Promotion Template Name Name of the promotion template.
              Promotion Type

              Type of promotion. The options are:

              • Promotion: Promotions for trade promotion management.
              • Sellable Promotion: Promotions for retail execution.
              Active Activates the template. You can use only active templates to create a promotion template.
              Record Type Category that you choose for a promotion. This field is auto-populated.
              Sort Numeric sorting definition of the template. Used, for example, to sort the templates in an ascending order during promotion creation.
              Sales Org Sales org of the promotion template.
              Description
              Description Language 1/2/3/4 Description of a promotion template in the languages configured for the sales org. The Description Language 1 field is mandatory.
              General Settings
              Anchor Type

              Node at which a promotion is negotiated. The options are:

              • None
              • Customer
              • Customer Set
              Active Policy Indicates whether a promotion created using this template is initially active.
              UI Type

              Specifies the user interface shown for the promotion. The options are:

              • Standard UI: Shows the attributes of a selected promotion.
              • Smart UI: This option is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              Timeframe Settings This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              Product Settings This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              TPM Settings This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              Retail Settings
              Creation Platform

              Specifies the platform on which the promotion template is available for use. Possible values are:

              • Laptop
              • Mobility
              • Both
              Selectable Promotion

              Select this field to create a template that creates selectable promotions.

              Selectable promotions support field sales activities such as orders and surveys. Such field sales activities, including promotions, require the products to be at SKU level. You can add SKUs only in the selectable promotions.
              Mobility Color Color to highlight promotions in the calendar on mobile devices if the promotions are created by using a specific promotion template in the calendar on mobile devices.
              Special Order Relevant The flag indicates whether the promotion is for special orders.
              Consider Listing Determines whether all products in active listings are considered as part of the promoted cluster or product group according to the specified listing finding template.
              Consider Promotion Rewards Specifies if the promotion is considered for rewards.
              Display In visit The promotion appears on a visit if, on the visit date, the promotion is valid for the business partner of the visit.
              Trade Calendar This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              Calculation Settings This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
              Promotion Scenario Settings This section is applicable only for trade promotion management promotions.
