Add Segmentation Rule Definition Columns
Segmentation rule definition columns are definitions of placeholders that are added to a SOQL query in a segmentation rule definition. You can add one or more segmentation rule definition columns to a segmentation rule definition.

Note You can add a segmentation rule definition column only to a segmentation rule that’s in the
Initial state.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Segmentation Rules, and then select a segmentation rule record.
- From the Segmentation Rule Definition Columns related list, click New Segmentation Rule Definition Column.

Provide these details:
Field Description Identification Segmentation Rule Definition Name of the segmentation rule definition. Field Settings Field Title Title of a field. Field Type Type of a field. The options are:
- Text
- Picklist
- Number
- Date
- List
Field Alias Values for the aliases defined in the segmentation query (SOQL binding). For example, $AccCity$. Field Default Default value shown for a field. Other Settings Field List Template Template used for a field list. If the field type is List, then this field defines the content of the list. The options are:
- Text
- Picklist
- Number
- Boolean
Field Picklist Target Field picklist target value. If the field type is Picklist or List, then this field defines the picklist to choose.
The format is
<Object>.<Attribute>. For any other field type, this field is ignored.Field Validations Field Number Digits Defines the number of digits after the decimal point for the Number type fields. - Save your changes.
