To create segmentation rules and segregate them based on sales orgs, create segmentation
rule templates. When you create a segmentation rule from a template, the rule is automatically
applied only to the sales org that’s specified in the template.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and
Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
User Permissions Needed
To create segmentation rule templates:
CGCloud Business Admin
OR
CGCloud Retail Business Admin
From the App Launcher, find and select Segmentation Rule Templates,
and then click New.
Provide these details:
Field
Description
Identification
Segmentation Rule Template Name
Name of the segmentation rule template.
Sales Org
Sales org for which you want to create segmentation rules.
Note You can select a
sales org only if you’re assigned to the org.
Update Policy
Defines how the segmentation rules created from this template are updated:
On Demand: Segmentation rule updates are manually initiated by clicking the Refresh
button.
Periodically: Segmentation rules are automatically updated at specific
intervals.
Save your changes.
