Upgrade to a Consumer Goods Cloud Release
Consumer Goods Cloud has three major releases (Spring, Summer, and Winter) in a year, to introduce features that improve the performance, security, logic, and usability of the Salesforce org, but that can also affect your existing customizations.

Each major release in Consumer Goods Cloud consists of upgrades to all Consumer Goods Cloud packages:
- Consumer Goods Cloud Managed Packages
- Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app
- Design contracts for Visual Studio Code Based Modeler
For a complete and successful upgrade to a Consumer Goods Cloud release, upgrade the Consumer Goods Cloud packages in this sequence:
- To upgrade the Consumer Goods Cloud Managed Package on your Salesforce sandbox org, go to http://industries.force.com/cgcloud.
- To assign permission sets and upload files to Salesforce, complete all post-installation tasks.
- Test the features on the latest version of the Consumer Goods Cloud Desktop app (sandbox).

To upgrade or update Visual Studio Code based Modeler, install the latest Modeler CLI
plugin by running this command:
sf plugins update. -
Upload the deployment zip into the Salesforce org (sandbox):
- Create a package and upload the zip file to the package in the Deployment Packages tab on Sync Management.
- Assign and publish the deployment package to all users or selected groups of users.
- To apply the changes in the deployment package, download the latest version of the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
- Test the features in the latest version of the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app on your handheld devices such as mobile and tablet.

Deploy the package into production:
- Install the Managed Package in the Salesforce org (production).
- Complete all post-installation tasks.
- Create a package in Salesforce (production) and upload the deployment zip created in step 14 in the Deployment Packages tab on Sync Management.
- Assign and publish the deployment package to all users or selected groups of users.
