Set Up an Object Reference for a Tour Template
Use object references to define the allowed visits, signatures, and document types for a tour. You can add, create, and delete an object reference for a tour template.

Here are the types of object references:
- Visit template:
- No template: The user can only execute preplanned visits. The driver can’t create ad hoc visits.
- Van sales visit: The driver can create ad hoc van sales visits during the tour in addition to the preplanned visits.
- Order template:
- No template: The user can only execute delivery documents that are assigned to the tour. The driver can’t create orders.
- Van sales order and return: The driver can create van sales orders and returns during a visit.
- Signature template: Requests for a signature during the tour (example: start of the tour).
- Tour template: Reference to a tour template. The tour template field can’t be blank and must link to the tour template.
Note Only the object references in active state can be used for a tour. Also,the object
reference must have the same sales org as the user.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Tour Templates.
- Search for and select the relevant tour template.
- In the Related List Quick Links section, select Tour Template Object Reference.
- Click New.
- Enter the object reference name.

- Product Check In: Allowed order templates for inventory check-in
- Order: Allowed order templates for order creation
- Product Check out: Allowed order templates for inventory check-in
- Delivery: Allowed order templates for delivery documents
Start Of Day Indicates whether the template is available for start-of-day activities. This field is reserved for future use. End Of Day Indicates whether the template is available for end-of-day activities. This field is reserved for future use. - Select the relevant references for the order template, signature template, or visit template.

Save your changes.
Note To delete an object reference to a tour template, use the Delete button on the Details page.
