Use route templates to set up route types for various markets, and assign tour templates
and visit types. Create various reusable routes by using route templates and in turn, create
van-sales tours from the routes for warehouse drivers.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Performance, Enterprise, and
Unlimited Editions with the Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
User Permissions Needed
To create or modify a route template:
Direct Store Delivery for Consumer Goods Offline Mobile App
Note You can't use an inactive route template to create routes.
From the App Launcher, find and select Route Templates.
Click New.
Enter the route template name, description, and sales org.
Note You can’t edit a sales org after you create the route template.
To associate a route template with a tour template and visit template, select the relevant
tour and visit templates.
Save your changes.
Note To delete a route template, use the Delete button on the Details page. You can’t delete a
route template if an active route is referencing the route template.
