          Upgrade Process for Consumer Goods Cloud Managed Packages

          User Permissions Needed
          To upgrade the managed package: System Administrator

          Make sure that you've completed the pre-installation tasks. See Pre-Installation Tasks.

          If you're upgrading to Summer ’22 managed packages, make sure that you Configure Picklist Values for Summer’22 Managed Packages.

          1. Upgrade the Consumer Goods Cloud Managed Packages.
          2. Complete these post upgrade steps sequentially.
            1. Deploy Additional Metadata
            2. Create HKey Field
            3. Handle Validation Rules
            4. Upload Latest Static Resources
            5. Extended Localization Files for Picklist Mapping Extension and Data Type Option
            6. Upload Latest Mobile Theme
            7. Page Layout and Field Changes for Upgrade Managed Packages
            8. Create User Profiles. You can create newly introduced user profiles by cloning existing user profiles or re-purposing existing user profiles. Perform this step only when there are newly introduced or updated profiles. To know the new and updated profile changes, see Retail Execution Release Notes.
              If you are upgrading to Summer’23 and Winter’24 managed packages, you can skip this step and Configure Profile Access for Users in Summer’23 and Winter’24 Package.
            9. Assign Permission Sets to Managed Package Users. Perform this step only for newly introduced or updated permission sets. To know the new and updated permission set changes, see Retail Execution Release Notes.
