Explore the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant (Optional)
The Consumer Goods app includes a Consumer Goods Setup Assistant tool that you can use
to perform key setup tasks. Alternatively, you can perform these tasks from Setup and object tabs
in the Consumer Goods app.
Required Editions
Available in Lightning Experience in Professional, Unlimited, and
Enterprise Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
Warning The Consumer Goods Setup Assistant isn’t supported on the Salesforce mobile
app. Attempts to use the assistant on the mobile app can result in exceptions.
If the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant tab doesn’t appear on the Consumer Goods app navigation
bar, manually add the tab.
Important The Consumer Goods Setup Assistant is
recommended for admin users. Before enabling the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant tab for
non-admin users, grant them the object access necessary to create and edit Consumer Goods
objects. Also make sure that non-admin users understand that they can’t set up
permissions.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter App Manager, and then
select App Manager.
On the Lightning Experience App Manager Setup page, edit the Consumer Goods app.
Select Navigation Items.
Move Consumer Goods Setup Assistant to Selected
Items, and then save your changes.
From the App Launcher, find and open the Consumer Goods app.
Select the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant tab.
If you don’t see the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant tab, enable it for your
profile.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, and then select
Profiles.
Click the profile that you want to update.
Under Tab Settings, for Consumer Goods Setup Assistant, select Default
On, and then save your changes.
