          Create Users and Profiles

To begin, create users for Agentforce Revenue Management. Then assign users the appropriate permission sets to access Agentforce Revenue Management. When you create a user, you must also assign a profile. Profiles define default settings for users. Some organizations create their own profiles, while others choose to use profiles included with Salesforce.

Remember, users can have only one profile, but can have many permission sets assigned to them.

A business can have several profiles to fit its operational needs. You can create custom profiles using the API, or clone existing profiles and customize them to reflect your organization’s structure and requirements.

          Assign Permission Sets

A permission set is a collection of settings and permissions that give users access to various functions. Permission sets extend users’ functional access without changing their profiles and are the recommended way to manage your user permissions. Create permission sets that contain the permissions necessary for your users to complete a specific job or task. You can either clone an existing permission set or create a new one.

After creating your users, assign permission sets based on their job roles. To grant a user a permission via a permission set or permission set group, the user must have a user license or permission set license that supports that permission.

To learn about assigning permission sets to your users, see Manage Permission Set Assignments.

          Customizing Permissions

If you customize ARC, such as adding fields, create a custom permission set. To remove user permissions from the default permission set, create a muting permission set. Then, use permission set groups to assign users the ARC permission set in addition to your custom permission sets. This approach ensures users always have the latest default permissions and is an alternative to cloning permission sets.
