Configure Secure Access to Visa Resolve Online
Exchange settlement and transaction data securely between Salesforce and Visa Resolve Online (VROL). This configuration establishes the authenticated handshake required to authorize every settlement request and transaction inquiry so that your connection with the payment network remains uninterrupted.

Before you begin, make sure that you’ve enabled user access to the User External Credentials object. See Enable User Access to User External Credentials Object for Transaction Dispute Management.

Define the authentication protocol needed for the connection by creating an external
credential.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials, and then select Named Credentials.
- Go to External Credentials, and then click New.
- Enter a label and a name for the external credential.
- Select Basic Authentication as the authentication protocol.
- Save your changes.

Add your specific identity credentials to the external credential by creating a
principal.
- In the Principals section of the VisaRTSI external credential, click New.
- Enter Authorization1 as the parameter name.
- Select Named Principal as the identity type.
- Enter 1 as the sequence number.
- Enter your username and password.
- Save your changes.

To configure the connection with VROL for settlement-related services, create a named
credential.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials, and then select Named Credentials.
- Click New.
- Enter FSC_VisaSI as the label and name for the named credential.
- Select the external credential that you created.
- Select Server as the client certificate.
- Enter https://mte-vrolgateway.visa.com/rsrv_rolsi-mte2/api as the URL.
- Save your changes.

To configure the connection with VROL for transaction-related services, create a named
credential.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials, and then select Named Credentials.
- Click New.
- Enter FSC_VisaTI as the label and name for the named credential.
- Select the external credential that you created.
- Select Server as the client certificate.
- Enter https://mte-vrolgateway.visa.com/rsrv_rolti-mte2/api as the URL.
- Save your changes.
- Grant access to the external credential principal on the system administrator profile and on any permission sets assigned to users who need this access. See Enable external credential principal access.
