A role signifies the specific functionality of a node within the hierarchy. Add the picklist values for the Role field on the Flexible Hierarchy Node object.

Create and configure roles according to your business requirements. For example, when building a corporate structure, you can categorize child nodes based on ownership depth, such as Wholly Owned Subsidiary, Majority-Owned Subsidiary, or Affiliate to represent the legal standing of each entity relative to the root node.
