Create and Deploy Data Processing Engine Definitions to Compute Summary Rollups for Flexible
Hierarchies
Compute individual, child, and total rollup metrics for all the nodes in a hierarchy. To
set up these calculations, create a Data Processing Engine definition or clone and customize the
predefined Data Processing Engine definitions. To make sure that any recent updates to rollup
metrics are accounted for, create schedule-triggered flows and run these definitions.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience

Clone and Customize the Predefined Data Processing Engine Definitions to Compute Summary
Rollups for Flexible Hierarchies
The Flexible Hierarchies feature includes these predefined Data Processing Engine
definitions that calculate metrics by using Data Cloud Runtime or CRM Analytics Runtime. Clone
and customize these definitions to roll up opportunity amounts linked to account and contact
nodes, or just to contact nodes.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data processing Engine,
and then select Data processing Engine.
Click the List View Controls button (), and click New.
Give a name to the list, specify the list API name, and save the list.
Click Add Filter, and specify these values:
Field: Process Type
Operator: Equals
Value: Flexible Hierarchy
Save the filter.

Access to these predefined definitions depends on Data Cloud Runtime and CRM Analytics
Runtime availability.
Click a Data Processing Engine definition that you plan to clone and customize.
Click the arrow next to Save, and select Save As.
Specify the name, API name, and description, and save the definition.
Note Provide meaningful names for Data Processing Engine
definitions.
Click the Filter Nodes for Hierarchy Type node, and enter the API name of the hierarchy
type in the filter condition.
Create a Data Processing Engine Definition to Compute Summary Rollups for Flexible
Hierarchies
Create a Data Processing Engine definition with Data Cloud Runtime or CRM Analytics
Runtime to compute summary rollup metrics for hierarchy nodes. Activate the definition and run
it.
