            Enable Flexible Hierarchies

            To create and update hierarchy types and hierarchies, and view hierarchies on record pages, turn on Flexible Hierarchies in Setup.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Unlimited and Agentforce Editions
            Important
            Important Turning on Flexible Hierarchies in Government Cloud Plus organizations can send data outside the authorization boundary. Contact your Salesforce account executive for more details.
            User Permissions Needed
            To turn on Flexible Hierarchies:

            Customize Application

            AND

            View Setup and Configuration

            AND

            FSC Sales
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, find, and select Salesforce Go.
            2. On the home page, search for and select Flexible Hierarchies.
            3. Click Get Started, and then click Turn On.
            4. Click Confirm.
