          Enable Prerequisite Features for Deposit Account Origination

          Deposit Account Origination relies on several Salesforce features to power the end-to-end intake flow. Together, these components enable your financial institution to securely collect applicant data, verify identities, track application stages, and provide self-serve portals.

          1. Turn on Know Your Customer to store and verify identity information collected from applicants during the deposit account opening process.

            KYC enables your organization to capture party profile data and run identity verification and screening checks against external service providers before approving an account.

          2. Deploy and run the assessment-based Omniscript that drives the deposit account intake flow by using Discovery Framework.

            Discovery Framework powers the structured collection of applicant information — including personal details, employment, income, expenses, and source of funds — and stores responses as assessment question records.

          3. Enable Import Export to move Discovery Framework artifacts, Omniscripts, and related configuration between environments.

            This feature is required to import the Deposit Account Origination sample template and its associated components into your org.

          4. Enable Stage Management to define and track the stages of a deposit account application as it moves through the origination process.

            Stage Management provides visibility into where each application stands — from intake through processing and approvals — and supports automated stage transitions based on application data.

          5. Enable Digital Lending to access the core origination framework, product configuration, and guided application components that the Deposit Account Origination flow is built on.

            Digital Lending provides the Application Form, Applicant, and Application Form Product Proposal data model, as well as the offer generation and document upload capabilities used throughout the intake process.

          6. Enable Digital Experiences to create and publish an Experience Cloud portal that allows customers to complete the deposit account application through a self-serve channel.

            Enabling Digital Experiences is a prerequisite for configuring the Financial Services Cloud Sales Portal used in the self-serve origination flow.

          7. Enable Omnistudio Metadata API Support to deploy and manage Omniscript, Flexcard, Integration Procedure, and Data Mapper components as metadata in your org.

            When you enable this feature, Salesforce stores and version-controls the Deposit Account Origination OmniStudio artifacts as standard Salesforce metadata, which supports deployment across sandbox and production environments.
