Create a Decision Matrix for Digital Lending
Customize the Authorization Form Text to show to clients on the Disclosure and Consent section of their loan application. A decision matrix matches input values to a table row and returns the row's output values. Create a decision matrix with the input columns for Product Id, ApplicantType, and Level, and an output column for DataUsePurpose.

Make sure that you set up business rules engine.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Business Rules Engine.
- From the navigation bar, select Lookup Tables.
- Click New.
- Click Decision Matrix, and then click Next.
- Enter the Name LendingDataUsePurposes. For Type, select Standard, and then click Save.
- Click the Related tab.
- In the Decision Matrix Versions, click LendingDataUsePurposes V1.

Click Add Column, add four columns with the following data, and then
click Done.

From the App Launcher, find and create a product. (Skip this step if you already have
products.)
- To create a product, click New.
- Enter a product name and select Active.
- Enter a display URL.
- Select a Product Family.
- Select a Product Type, and then select Based On to align the product to a product classification.
- Enter a product code.
- Enter a product description and save the product.

From the App Launcher, find and select Data Use Purpose.
- Click New if you don’t have data use purpose records. Don’t set the Data Use Purpose to active.
- Enter a name and description.
- To align the data use purpose to a data use legal basis, select a legal basis.
- Deselect Is Active.
- Save the data use purpose.

From the App Launcher, find and select Authorization Form.
- Click New or choose an existing one.
- Enter a name.
- (Optional) Select Is Signature Required, and then click Save.
- Click the Related tab.
- In the Authorization Form Text section, click New.
- Enter a name.
- Enter your text into the Detail Authorization Form Text field.

Select English Locale.
When an applicant completes the application from an English locale, the English authorization form text displays.
- Select Active.
- Save your changes.
- Similarly, to customize the authorization form text for other locals, complete the steps.

Edit the Data Use Purpose record created in the previous step.
- From the App Launcher find and select the data use purpose that you created in the previous step.
- Click the Related tab.
- In the Authorization Form Data Use section, click New.
- Enter a name.
- Select the authorization form that you created in the previous step.
- Select the data use purpose you created in the previous step.
- Click Save.
- On the data use purpose record, click the Details tab, and select Is Active.
- Save your changes.

From the App Launcher, find and select Business Rules Engine.
- In the menu, select Lookup Tables.
- Select the LendingDataUsePurposes decision matrix.
- In the Decision Matrix Versions, click LendingDataUsePurposes V1.
- Click Add Row.
- Add a row with the following data, then click Done.
ProductId ApplicantType Level DataUsePurpose ProductId created in the previous step. Primary Applicant ApplicationFormProduct DataUsePurpose ID created in the previous step. - Save and activate the decision matrix.
