Stage Management streamlines complex business processes with defined stage transition criteria and a stage transition plan for each stage of a workflow. For Digital Lending, use Stage Management to restrict Stage field values and actions on an Application Form Product. This makes sure that users follow defined transitions.
When a personal loan application is submitted, the Stage field on the Application Form Product is updated to Intake. At this point, agents are granted read/write access to complete the application, while underwriters have no access. However, when the Stage field changes to Contract Generation, agents are given read-only access, and underwriters gain read/write access to generate a contract for the applicant.
First, set up Compliant Data Sharing to control the data that gets shared with users. Create participant roles for Application Form, Application Form Product, and Party Profile objects that grant users read only, read/write, and no access to the objects. Then create the Underwriter Group and Agent Group participant groups.
Next, create a mapping from the participant role name to the participant role ID and from the participant group name to the participant group ID by using an APEX class and a flow.
Then, create three decision matrices that determine the user access level, visibility status, and stage value when the application form product is in a defined stage, such as Intake and Contract Generation. Create a stage definition for the Application Form Product reference object and the Stage field. Finally, create and activate the Digital Lending Stage Management transitions.
