          Considerations for Grantmaking Automation

          Considerations for Grantmaking Automation

Learn about Grantmaking details, such as the API name for the budget component and budget states, to use when configuring Flow Builder or Omnistudio automation.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Nonprofit Cloud for Grantmaking and Public Sector Solutions. View edition availability.

Use runtime_industries_budget:budget as the fully qualified name for the Budget Lightning Web Component when setting up Omnistudio automation. You can use the Budget component in an Omnistudio Flexcard.

Use these component states to select the appearance of the Budget component for different phases of the grant application or awarding process.

Component State When to Use Additional Information
budgetPlanning When you want to make Planned Amount and Reason editable. Control whether the Submit button shows for the planning state with the hideSubmit setting.
actualsReporting When you want Planned Amount read-only and allow the user to edit the Actual Amount. The Reason field and Submit button are hidden.

We recommend setting up automation for Experience Cloud users to submit their report of actual budget spent and whether the submitted actual amounts can be edited for that budget period. Build this automation based on the state of the Submitted checkbox on Budget Period.
