Learn About Custom Apex Classes for External Scheduling Systems
Health Cloud provides a default Apex class for connecting with middleware. If your EHR
system is a single source system or uses middleware that requires extra configuration to
integrate with Salesforce, create a custom Apex class.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health
Cloud
A custom Apex class is required if:
Your external scheduling system requires more parameters in requests than the default Apex
class includes.
You connect to a single source system and want to use a custom Apex class to perform data
transformations that are otherwise performed by middleware.
You want to perform operations on responses from your external scheduling system.
Consider using MuleSoft to integrate Health Cloud data and your external scheduling system.
