requirements. Capture the right data from health documents by using templates designed for your
workflows. Extract data from health documents and map it to the Health Cloud data model to deliver
trusted, high quality data that support effective public health surveillance and
decision-making.

User Permissions Needed
To use Document AI for Health:
Health Cloud Foundation permission set
AND
Data Cloud User permission set
AND
Disease Surveillance permission set
AND
Document AI permission set
AND
Health Cloud AI Assistive Agent permission set
Custom extraction templates must be available in the Extraction Templates table on the
Document AI for Health setup page. The availability of custom templates and configuration depends
on how your Salesforce admin sets them up for your organization. Contact your Salesforce admin if
you need help.
From the App Launcher, find and select Document Extraction
Request.
Click Extract Document.
Click Upload Files, select the file you want to extract data from,
and then click Done.
From the list of recently uploaded files, select the file that you uploaded, and click
Next.
Select the custom extraction template as the use case type.
Review the Records to Extract section to confirm that all required fields are selected for
extraction.
Click Extract.
The extraction can take a while depending on the file size.
When the status of your extraction request changes to Review Not Started, click the action
menu next to your request and select View.
Review the extracted data. If necessary, add or update the data, and save your
changes.
After the status changes to Save Completed, select View from the
action menu to view the summary of the created records.
