Enable Users to Generate a Report of Provider Search Results
Upload a provider search report template, create a Document Generation Setting, and enable the action bar so that users can generate a report of provider search results.

Important These steps apply to Provider Search and Legacy
Provider Search. If you use Provider Search with Criteria-Based Search and Filter, see Configure Provider Search with Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
Before you enable users to generate provider search reports:
- Set up Document Generation in Health Cloud. Follow the post-install steps for Omnistudio and create the permission sets for document generation. When you create a Document Generation Setting record, enter the values as directed in step 2 below. For details, see Post-Install Steps for Omnistudio Document Generation.
- Create a document template. To learn how to create a template, see OmniStudio Document Generation Document Templates.
Here’s a sample template that you can use.

Note Provider search report generation isn’t available for guest users and Community
users.

Upload and share the provider search report template with users.
For non-English users, make sure the template name is appended with the language code. For example, name a template for French users as fr_ProviderReportTemplate.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Files.
- Click Upload Files and select the provider search report template you created.
- Click Done when the upload completes.

Locate the template you uploaded and click
, then
select Share.
- Search for and select users who can access the template. For users who also generate reports, select Collaborator.
- Click Share.

Create a Document Generation Setting record. If you already have one, verify the values
match the values in the table. Otherwise, skip this step.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Document Generation Settings, and then select Document Generation Settings.
- Click New, enter these values, then click Create.

Add the provider search report template name in Lightning App Builder and enable the Action
bar.
- In Lightning App Builder, open the page where you added the provider search component.

In the Properties pane, select Show action bar.
The Action dropdown(
) in the provider search component includes the
Generate Report option. - In the Properties pane, in the Provider Search Report Template field, enter the name of the provider search report template you uploaded.
- Save your work.
Note If you cannot generate reports for users with custom profiles in your org, edit
the profiles to update the field level security settings for the Document Generation Process
object. Verify the profile has read access to the Request Text and Token Data
fields.
Users can now select the relevant providers from search results and generate a provider search report.
