            Set Up Work Step Templates for Medication Administration

            Configure work step templates for medication administration-related tasks and set up the Add Patient Medication for Home Visits - Medication Administration flow as an action definition. With the help of this template, you can simplify and streamline configurations, save time, and optimize the medication administration process.

            To set up work step templates:

            Health Cloud Foundation permission set

            By associating the work step template that you configured with a work plan template, you can easily set up work plans and work steps for patients whose care service routine requires medication administration. Work steps created from this template are auto-linked to the flow.

            The Field Service mobile app lists the medication administration work steps with an action icon under the patient’s home visit work plan. When clinicians begin working on these work steps, the mobile app triggers the flow and helps clinicians easily administer relevant medications, record the details, and track the completion.

            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Work Step Templates.
            2. Click New, and enter a name for the medication administration work step template.
            3. In Action Definition, select the Add Patient Medication for Home Visits - Medication Administration flow.
            4. Enter a description.
            5. Select Active.
            6. Save your changes.

            Salesforce associates the flow with the work step template and retains the association for any work step created from the template. The mobile app initiates the flow when clinicians work on these work steps during their home visits.

            To simplify work plan configurations, you can associate this work step template with existing or new work plan templates.
