Set Up Briefcase Records for Home Health
Enable your clinicians in the field to access information seamlessly when their mobile app is offline. Use Briefcase Builder to create a Briefcase, which is a set of rules and filters that select records for offline use. Connect the Field Service mobile app with the Briefcase to give your clinicians access to the most relevant records, even when there’s a network outage or spotty internet coverage.

Add the relevant objects and related objects to the Briefcase that you want to make available offline. You can also select a subset of relevant record data for your mobile workers by selecting Related Lists or Lookup Fields that relate to an object. You can further refine the data by applying filters and logic conditions.
Prerequisite: Download the Field Service Connected App

Create a briefcase for patient clinical details
and configure these properties.
- Next to Object Rules, click the plus sign (+), and select Service Appointment.
- For Service Appointment, set the first filter as Scheduled Start Less Than or Equal This Day, second filter as Scheduled End Greater Than or Equal This Day, and filter logic as (1 AND 2).

Click Add Related Object and add Account as a related object
by selecting the Account ID Lookup field. Account ID is a field on the Service
Appointment object.
In the Account properties, delete the filter.

Add more related objects for Account as shown in the table. You can also add
related objects for the Allergy Intolerance and Medication Statement objects. The
table shows which related list or lookup field to select to relate the objects.

Click Next, and assign the Briefcase to clinicians.
- Select the plus sign (+) next to each user or group that you want to assign the Briefcase.
- Click Next.

Select and associate the Field Service mobile app with your Briefcase.
- In the Connected Apps field, search for and select Salesforce Field Service for iOS and Salesforce Field Service for Android.
- Click Activate.

Similarly, create another briefcase for patient assessment
details and configure these properties.
- Next to Object Rules, click the plus sign (+) and select Assessment Staged Data.

Set Maximum Records Returned as 1.
Don't set any filters for the Assessment Staged Data object.
- Click the plus sign (+) and select Omni Process.
- Set the filter as Active Equals True.

Add related objects for Omni Process as shown in the table.

- Assign the Briefcase to clinicians and associate the Field Service mobile app with your Briefcase.
The Briefcases are connected with the Field Service mobile app and activated for the assigned users and groups.
