Set Up Electronic Visit Verification
Help your care resources and schedulers to verify visits automatically or manually and save the visit start and end details accurately.

Home Health provides two flows to support Electronic Visit Verification (EVV):
- Verify Home Visit Electronically: A record-triggered flow that begins the electronic verification when the status of a visit changes to In Progress or Completed. It captures the care resource details and includes a subflow named Update Verified Home Visit Details.
- Update Verified Home Visit Details: A subflow to the Verify Home Visit Electronically flow. This flow identifies whether the verification is manual or automatic, and captures the relevant visit information–date, time, and location of the visit start or end. The flow saves the verification details in the appropriate care service visit record.

Automatic Verification of Visits
When a care resource arrives at or departs from the patient’s location, the Field Service Mobile app sends a notification prompting your care resource to change the status to In Progress or Completed, respectively. The care resource gives a confirmation, which triggers the Verify Home Visit Electronically flow along with the Update Verified Home Visit Details subflow. The flows verify the visit automatically and capture the relevant visit details.
Manual Verification of Visits
When a care resource arrives at or departs from the patient’s location but is unable to use the app for verification due to technical constraints, they call the home health agency for help. The scheduler or agent uses the action buttons to manually verify the visit, which triggers the Update Verified Home Visit Details flow. The flow captures the relevant visit details.
