Set Up Your Org for MCG Assessments and Care Guidelines
To access MCG assessments and care guidelines in Integrated Care Management, enable MCG Care Guidelines, configure remote site settings, create a named credential, and create a permission set. Finally, connect Health Cloud with the MCG system by creating an integration definition.

To access MCG assessments and care guidelines, install Omnistudio and enable Discovery Framework. You also need API credentials from MCG.

Enable MCG Care Guidelines in Setup.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Integrated Care Management Settings, and select Integrated Care Management Settings.
- Enable MCG Care Guidelines.

Configure remote site settings for your MCG site.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Remote Site Settings, and select Remote Site Settings.
- Click New Remote Site.
- Enter a name and URL for your remote site.
- Click Save.

Create an external credential using your MCG API credentials.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials, and select Named Credentials.
- Go to the External Credentials tab and click New.
- Enter a label and name for your external credential.
- Select Basic Authentication as the authentication protocol.
- Click Save.
- In Principals, click New.
- Enter a parameter name and sequence number.
- Select Named Principal as the identity type.
- Enter your MCG API credentials as the username and password.
- Click Save.

Create a named credential and associate it with the external credential you created.
- From the Named Credentials settings page, go to the Named Credentials tab, and click New.
- Enter a label, name, and URL (API endpoint from MCG) for your named credential.
- From the External Credential dropdown, select the external credential you created earlier.
- Verify that the Enabled for Callouts toggle is turned on.
- Click Save.
- Note the name of the named credential. You enter this name when you create an integration definition later in this task.

Create a permission set to authorize users to make callouts to the MCG API.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and select Permission Sets.
- Click New.
- Enter a label and API name.
- Click Save.
- Next, click External Credential Principal Access, and click Edit.
- Move the external credential principal you created earlier to the Enabled External Credential Principals list.
- Click Save.
- Click Manage Assignments and assign the permission set to the authorized users.

Create an integration definition.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Integration Definitions, and select Integration Definitions.
- Click New.
- Select Apex Defined as the type.
- Enter a name and developer name.
- Click Next.
- Find and select healthcloudext.HealthCareICMExternalService as the apex class.

For the attribute values, specify the MCG edition and enter the named credential you
created earlier.
Note Integrated Care Management currently supports the 29th edition of MCG guidelines. - Click Save.
- Note the developer name of the intgration definition. You enter this name when you add MCG-related components to record pages next.
