Help your users manage prior authorization requests by maintaining clean and accurate
data. To resolve prior authorization request case records, turn on Deduplication of Prior
Authorization Requests in Setup. Unify your data across systems by enabling Data 360. Then, deploy
the required data kits and configure the Identify and Resolve Duplicate Prior Authorization
Requests flow. Finally, embed the flow on the case record page.

Only prior authorization requests with an Inpatient - Physical Health Review or
Outpatient - Physical Health Review request type qualify for deduplication.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Utilization Management
Settings and select Utilization Management Settings.
In the Data Cloud One tab, set up Data 360 and configure the SSOT packages, permission
sets, and data source connections for Utilization Management. See Set Up and Maintain.
Turn on Deduplication of Prior Authorization Requests.
To access the Prior Auth Flattened Table data model object (DMO), data streams, data lake
objects, and data transforms, deploy the HealthCloud Administrative and Utilization Management
data kits.
In the Deploy Data Kits section, click Deploy Data Kits.
Select a data space.
Click Deploy for the HealthCloud Administrative and then the
Utilization Management data kits.
Make sure to deploy the HealthCloud Administrative data kit first, followed by the
Utilization Management data kit. The Health Cloud data kit contain components used in the
Utilization Management data kit.
Review the Flatten UM Prior Auth Data batch data transform and the Prior Auth Flattened
Table DMO. Schedule the batch data transform as required.
Review the deduplication flow, then clone and configure it as required.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows and select
Flows.
Find and select Identify and Resolve Duplicate Prior Authorization Requests.
Verify that all the flow elements and attributes are configured correctly.
In the Get Unified Prior Authorization Request Cases element, check that the selected
Data Cloud object is Prior Auth Flattened Table.
