Set up a page on your Experience Cloud site and add a flow for patients to accept or decline
appointment invitations. From Flow Builder, configure and activate record-triggered flows that
send automated invitations to patients and handle expired invitations.
From Setup, use the Quick Find box to find and select Waitlist
Management.
Turn on Waitlist Management. The page shows the steps to set up the
feature. This setting also makes the Patient Waitlist flow templates available in Flow
Builder.
Click Set Parameters.
In Buffer Time, set the minimum number of hours before an appointment that opens up is
offered to a waitlist participant. Setting a buffer time avoids sending invitations to patients
who won’t have enough time to confirm the appointment. For example, if the buffer time is four
hours and an appointment becomes available two hours in advance, the appointment isn’t offered
to a waitlist participant. Instead, the appointment becomes available to anyone who's searching
for an appointment.
Save your changes.
Follow the remaining guided steps to configure Waitlist Management.
