          Manage athenahealth Patient Details

          Register new patients, update patient details, create patient cases, and create medication requests (prescription refills) in athenahealth directly from Health Cloud.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Agentforce for Health Cloud and Agentforce Employee Agent add-on licenses.
          User Permissions Needed
          To manage patient data and create medication requests:

          Manage Contact Center for Health Cloud

          AND

          Use Contact Center AI Assistive Agent

          AND

          Data Cloud User

          AND

          Health Cloud Foundation

          Note

          1. Open the Agentforce panel and select the agent for Contact Center if it isn't selected by default.
          2. To register a new patient, enter the managing organization and department name, the patient’s SSN, given name, family name, date of birth in yyyy-mm-dd format, gender, and phone number, and then ask the agent to register the patient..
            The agent will confirm the registration and return a summary, including the newly created patient ID.
          3. To update patient details, enter the patient ID and specify the information to be updated, and then ask that the agent update the patient’s record.
          4. To create a patient case (send a message to the provider or care team), enter the patient’s first name, last name, DOB, the provider’s name, and the message to send to the provider, and then ask the agent to send a message to the provider.
          5. To create a medication request, enter the patient’s first name, last name, and DOB, specify the prescription to be refilled, and then ask the agent to create a refill request.
            A patient case is created in athenahealth with a “refill” subclass.
