Summarize Patient History with Einstein

As a healthcare professional, use the built-in Summarize Patient History prompt template on the Patient Account record page to create a timely, rich-text summary of a patient’s complete profile and history without navigating multiple pages and tabs. Save time and improve productivity with the power of generative AI to analyze and condense large volumes of patient data stored across several Health Cloud objects. The informative summary helps you make informed clinical decisions by including patient information such as health conditions, medical procedures, medical history, allergies, and vaccinations.

User Permissions Needed
To summarize patient history:	Action Plans permission set AND Care Plans Access permission set AND Health Cloud Foundation permission set AND Einstein for Service Innovations permission set

Important This tool uses generative AI, which is known to include inaccurate or harmful responses. Before using the generated summary, review the output for accuracy and safety. You assume responsibility for the output when creating the summary.

1. Go to the patient’s person account record page.
2. In the Einstein Summary section, click Got It.
   

   Note You see the Got It button only the first time you access the Einstein Summary section.
3. Select Summarize Patient History and click Generate.
   Einstein analyzes your request and summarizes the patient history. You see patient information such as health conditions, medical procedures, clinical encounters, clinical service requests, care observations, medication requests, allergies, and vaccinations.

   Einstein summarizes the patient history based on the source information available in the patient records. If the relevant source information isn’t available, Einstein skips such details when generating the summary.

Use the Copy button to copy the summarized patient history for further use and reference.
