Create a Patient Precall Summary with Einstein

As a caregiver, automate the preparation for patient visits with the built-in Draft Patient Precall Summary prompt template available on the patient account record page. Create a rich-text precall summary of a patient’s recent medical history covering health conditions, diagnoses, appointments, treatment plans, notes from previous interactions, and more. This summarization not only reduces the manual effort required in reviewing comprehensive patient data but also enhances patient health outcomes by ensuring caregivers get a better understanding of patient’s health needs.

User Permissions Needed
To create a patient precall summary:	Care Plans Access permission set AND Health Cloud Foundation permission set AND Einstein for Service Innovations permission set AND Manage Health Cloud user permission

Important This tool uses generative AI, which is known to include inaccurate or harmful responses. Before using the generated summary, review the output for accuracy and safety. You assume responsibility for the output when creating the summary.

1. Go to the patient’s person account record page.
2. In the Einstein Summary section, click Got It.
   

   Note You see the Got It button only the first time you access the Einstein Summary section.
3. Select Draft Patient Precall Summary and click Generate.
   Einstein analyzes your request and creates a precall summary based on the last eight weeks of the patient’s medical history. The summary covers health conditions, treatment and prognosis using goal assignment, assessments, appointments, and notes from previous interactions. The summary also includes care programs, care diagnosis, care barriers, care determinants, care episodes, care gaps, care observations, care plans, care requests, cases, and tasks.

   Einstein creates the precall summary based on the source information available in the patient records. If the relevant source information isn’t available, Einstein skips such details when generating the summary.

Use the generated precall summary when interacting with your patients. Use the Copy button to copy the precall summary for further use and reference.
